Bic lighters always worked the best for me–they also seem the quickest to dry-out and the oval shape is strong and easy to carry, and they retain their fuel. The older ones without the tamper-resistant click lever are the best. There is a huge quality difference with the design of the variety of butains, and some won’t survive too many “pocket miles”. I once bought an expensive glow-in the dark refillable that was really useful–however it used alot of fuel per use (met it’s end confiscated at the LA airport). The refillables tend to be not as durable as the old 1970′s designed “Bic”.
I hope you will never be without the comfort and protection of a warm fire when you need it Les.
Yea I always carry a butane lighter with Me too even though I don’t smoke…lol
i always have my hatchet and a lihter
I always have a mag and flint a bic lighter in a ziplock bag
oh and yum on the dinner.
It’s always strange when I see Les using matches or a lighter instead of rubbing sticks together.
