In the tradition of the hit series Survivorman, Survive This follows in Les Stroud’s footsteps by empowering kids to explore their connection to the wild.
Eight kids between the ages of 14 to 17 are taken into the wilderness with Les Stroud as their mentor. Chosen for their unique personalities and overall adventure readiness, these kids are vying to fulfill a self-determined goal that is both personal and inspiring. They are challenged physically, emotionally and intellectually. Each episode presents a different survival challenge – devised by Les Stround himself! Over the course of the series, we get to know the kids very well as relationships develop, conflicts erupt and emotions run wild. Les IS Survivorman, and he knows better than anyone that sometimes when it comes to survival you only get one chance. He’ll be looking for that individual who is willing to learn and grow under the most difficult situations. And yes – these kids do have to survive.

Hey Les, glad to see you’re doing something with kiddos. I’m working with two of my friends to reach out to middle school age boys who don’t have a father present. We’re going to teach them how to hunt, fish, tie knots, etc. Things they probably wouldn’t learn otherwise. Anyway, I just wanted to commend you on your series with the 14-17 year olds.
I’m a boyscout and i think i’m pretty well prepared for outdoor experiences.I’sd love to be on this show. i just turned 14 too.

I am 14 years old and I am very interested in being one of the kids on the show “survive this”. I’m only 10 and I am a die hard fan of Les. I watch his show and can’t wait to get his book and CD. I watch survivorman when ever it is on. I live in upstate New York and love going out in to the woods and exploring with survival equipment. I am really looking forward this new show and would love to be a contestant someday.

I love the show (both) and I really think I have the chops, I live in Idaho and am fishing and hunting and camping all the time. If I hadn’t watched the show then I may not have survived the raft trip. Stupid cousin, stupid kayak.

i would want to be on this show because i want to know how hard to embrace the wild for 7 days.because of your inspiration. I love the wild and i made a bow and arrow+ a spear without anything except for my bare hands.i am quick at running. and fast at reflexes. and i don’t eat alot so that i don’t get hungry. I am all about surviving. I live in Kentucky,USA. I have heard about your Show teaching kids how to survive, that is just wonderful. I also teach younger kids how to survive and hiking safety through my Boy Scout Troop. I’m looking forward to get my Eagle rank advancement when I’m 15. I love to fish and many outdoor activities. Right now i am in the middle of my 3 year of commercial fishing on Kentucky Lake. I was just wondering if u were a Boy Scout? I really hope u could try to do a new episode in my neck of the woods. Their is a plethora of allergens in Kentucky, the docs say that its the worst place to be if u have asthma. I would really enjoy if me and you could talk sometime get to know each other, Because i think you would like my adventures just as much as i like yours

I like to be outdoors and have made my own shelters and stayed in them for a few nights. I know what to eat and wat not to eat. I belivie i should be on the show because i know a bit about the outdoors for example:
Plants generally poison by–
Ingestion. When a person eats a part of a poisonous plant.
Contact. When a person makes contact with a poisonous plant that causes any type of skin irritation or dermatitis.
Absorption or inhalation. When a person either absorbs the poison through the skin or inhales it into the respiratory system.
Plant poisoning ranges from minor irritation to death. A common question asked is, “How poisonous is this plant?” It is difficult to say how poisonous plants are because–
Some plants require contact with a large amount of the plant before noticing any adverse reaction while others will cause death with only a small amount.
Every plant will vary in the amount of toxins it contains due to different growing conditions and slight variations in subspecies.
Every person has a different level of resistance to toxic substances.
Some persons may be more sensitive to a particular plant.

I would love to be on the show! I love to camp and love to explore. It has been my DREAM to go out camping and rough it! I love to be surrounded by nature. I camp ALOT and love to hike through woods. I have seen your show and thought that would be sooo much fun. I know it is very hard but I am determined to do it. I love to build forts outside out of stuff like sticks and leaves. Like you would in the woods.I no how to build other stuff like I built a trap once. When i get older I want to travel the world to study animals, and would love to do this to teach me all sorts of stuff about nature and how to survive with almost nothing. I am learning some stuff by watching your show but it is hard to remember unless i am there! I think i would learn a lot if I was actually there though. I am only eleven (almost twelve) but i go to the gym everyday to become healthy enough so that I could be able to handle some of the hardships that i might meet. Also I am trying to have a much better diet so that I can eat anything that I would have to eat. I would be so happy if I was on the show because I would love to know all about nature and how to survive with it. I personally think that if I was on the show it would be the greatest thing that ever happened to me
