The best survivor man by far. Having a basic knowledge of bushcraft I like it when you tell the truth. Its not easy to fish or trap mammals with no tools, or sleep wild. so its not like the staged macho crap that other shows show. Top Respect Les is the man,
I watched this because I am sad to have no more survivorman episodes left to watch. What I would like to see is Les do a survivorman show where he picks someone to take his spot as the new survivorman. Then Les narrate the shows as the new guy goes out around the world. OR even better Les, just goes back to making more episodes
Les – thank you so much for posting these “Stranded Summer” and “Stranded Winter” films on your official website. They are both very high quality, educational, and inspirational films, and although I have purchased the DVD’s from your Shop, I very much appreciate the fact that I can easily access these films from your Official Website. For some reason, I find the Winter one the most fascinating. I guess it is because that is the season I fear the most and find the most challenging. I have just never made my peace with Winter. I have seen you survive Winter situations that I thought would not be possible. I am in awe of you! You are the most peaceful, calm, confident, knowledgeable, intelligent person I could ever imagine. I know you always say you are just a regular guy. I don’t think so! Amazing! Awesome! Beautiful! Thank You!!!
Man these are great. I love watching survivorman but there aren’t anymore episodes. I’m looking foreward to the newest one “beyond survival with Les Stroud”

yo know i’ve watched many many of your episodes….but im stright up canadian military bred seen coast to coast and 42 states, mexico, jamaica, hati, brazil…..LOVE that you still say hardest shit to deal with is the constatly changing canadian weather!!!….its one thing to be where you never have to worry if your gonna freeze to death tommorow night! sure there is 500 OTHER dangers….but…love that you’ve lived on the shield and well…otta all your episodes i’ve watched….or own home has less avalible easy food then anywhere else (that i’ve been) or watched u at….i live in manitoba now and late winter….less u got a gun…its PURE luck to get somethng to eat that i know of anyway…..and well here in manitoba hell we got a f-ing desert that spands 20km across…..yet come winter its still -40 or worse….summer +40 winter…-40 or worse….love how you do it les!!!!!
While I’m sad to see there’s no more survivorman episodes to be forthcoming, I can on the other hand, as an avid hiker and camper, understand full well why it is Les has thrown in the towel. When you get to be his age, well the spirit is willing but the body well, not so much LOL. Thanks for the years and entertainment you did provide Les, while I hope no one ever has too, I have heard your show enabled two folks to survive, saving two lives, in and of itself is the greatest testimony to the work you’ve done I think.

Thanks for the videos Les and I think what you do is amazing.
If I’m ever stranded I think that I have a much better chance by relying on the survival skills I’ve learned by watching your show.
Peace,
