I have watched Les every time he is on. I’ve seen every episode at least 5 or more times. You can see it is real not staged. Great to see more of this kind of show coming back. Les is a great teacher.Thanks Les for making TV interesting to watch. Danny
GREAT! I really enjoyed the original show and was really sad when he aired his last. I can’t wait for the new season and all trouble Les will get himself into. I live vicariously through Les. LOL

I’m glad to hear the “original” survivorman is coming back. Bear Grylls is ok, but it’s so obvious that everything he does is staged. Not the case with my man Les. I’ve actually learned alot more watching Les, than any of thes other so called survivor shows. Great news man, I can’t wait to see where and what he gets himself into next.

Wow I can’t believe how excited I am to hear this. I have watched every one of your shows multiple times. Normally I hate “reality” TV, but since you *are* trying to be as close as possible to actual reality (unlike most similar shows) your show is a big exception.
Please be safe though, I have to admit, before I saw the first episode I had a sadistic thought that “I hope this guy gets into trouble.” But soon thereafter, after genuinely growing to really like you, I worry for you each episode. I know you plan everything carefully and are in touch with a backup team, but adventures like jaguars, on the sea without contact, etc, that *must* become truly dangerous at times. I would never want to see you so much as break a finger, much less anything worse-the world is a much better place with you in it. (Unfortunately, statistically, you will eventually come across your “king brown snake” if you spend enough time in the outback.)
Do you know just how intimate your show really is? It is obvious you are being sincere, and truly share many of my same values regarding nature, the world, our place in it, etc…watching your show over the years is close to knowing a good friend over a long time. Furthermore, your show *must* have helped many more people than the two that reported it. As an outdoor enthusiast myself that camps out as much as possible (I’m even an Eagle Scout) before your show I was somewhat arrogant and thought “I can survive anything.” Now I know better, with correct humility I know I think about your teaching everytime I go camping. Without even knowing it, my new attitude and respect for nature may have helped me out more than I realize. Add the millions that have seen your show with similar passions, and you *must* have literally saved many lives.
Please continue to be as safe as possible, and I look forward to getting to know you and learn even more from you.

You’ve made TV watchable again with this announcement. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve re-watched prior episodes of yours on Netflix. Man vs Wild is a joke. Show boating in the jungle is what that other show is. Some of the stunts he does aren’t even smart to do on a camping trip let alone survival. I have mixed feelings about recommending that you have a helper for the camera. On one hand it would be great that you spent your time walking about and doing more teaching then changing out batteries and worrying if your camera will go out. But the solo adventure is something I can grasp as I watch you out there. Needless to say, I’m excited to hear you’ll be making more episodes!

Well in short I am surprisingly ecstatic about this news! I hope you continue to remain as safe as possible-I truly believe that you literally saved countless lives doing this. The world is a much better place with you in it.
Thanks for all your sharing and surprisingly good times, it definitely reinforced my own “will to live.”

I’ve been watching my complete Survivorman series (which I got from your site obviously) and listening to your CDs (again, from here) just in anticipation of Season 4 of Survivorman. I’m just so excited and ecstatic about the new challenges and have been hoping and waiting since the end of Season 3 for more.

My son is 12 and he loves your shows! Friday nights after we put the younger two boys to bed we watched Survivorman. We haven’t watched the DVD’s in awhile because we have them all memorized. We love living off the land and wish we could go totally grid free. My family is very excited about your new show!!! Finally something real and clean for us to watch as a family. Those other shows are not appropriate for families. Thank You so much for putting yourself out there again. We’ll be waiting in anticipation! Actually we will have to go somewhere else to watch it until it goes on DVD, because we don’t have dish or cable. Down fall of living simply.

Glad Survivorman is back! I’ve not only been a huge fan, but used his teachings on my backpacking adventures. I pop in a few of the DVDs as I’m packing/getting ready to head out for another hike…puts me in the outdoor spirit and refreshes my knowledge! Luckily I’ve never been in a survival situation, but the show has really helped me enjoy my outdoor experiences much more and given me the confidence that I think I’d need if faced with a bad situation. Survivorman is more than entertainment…it’s education. Looking forward to the new special. Perhaps there will be more of them in years to come?!?
Can’t wait to see some new episodes. I know your show’s concept is you on your own, but as well known and admired as you are now, can you imagine what an honor and pleasure it would be to be a fan who had an opportunity to survive an episode with you? You could have some sort of contest and the winner or winners could help you carry your camera equipment. If one of us absolute beginner types won the opportunity, you could teach us in person to make fire with a stick and elbow grease. We might slow you down a little, but what an experience it would be, and I know not having to double back all the time to get your cameras by yourself would probably feel pretty good too.

les is awesome to put it simply. i stream netflix through my xbox and survivorman is all i have been watching every night for the past 2 weeks. ive seen every episode from the georgian swamps to the boreal forest multiple times and it never gets old. if i ever have something bad happen where im stranded in the wild i sure better know what to do from watching les so much.
