Canadian producer-distributor 9 Story Entertainment has secured a raft of broadcast deals for its second series of tween reality show Survive This.
Created by survival expert and filmmaker Les Stroud, Survive This season two (14×22′) has been sold to NRK in Norway, Sweden’s SVT, Israeli broadcaster Noga, Australia’s ABC, Nickelodeon India, TVB in Hong Kong and VRAK in French Canada.
This follows last year’s sale of season one to the Cartoon Network in Latin America and the US, ABC Australia, YLE in Finland, SVT in Sweden, Israel’s Noga and Teleview in the Middle East.
I would truly Love to see All of the episodes of “Survive This”, Seasons One and Two, on tv in the United States. Cartoon Network dropped the ball, for whatever reason… I just don’t understand it… “Survive This” is excellent – and now, it is nominated for a Gemini. Cartoon Network should be so embarrassed by their short-sightedness. Surely, there is a network Somewhere in the US that can see the value in this series, and will pick it up. In the meantime, I am going to redouble my efforts to find access to “Survive This” on the internet. Hopefully, the series will eventually be for sale in your Shop. When I watched season 1 on cartoon network, I thought it was excellent!
