Executive Producer Les Stroud to sell epic river adventure 100 DAYS to Outdoor Life Network (OLN).

100 DAYS is the first-hand account of Explorer’s Club member and Survivorman-alumni Brett Rogers’ four-month rafting expedition down the Yukon River from Whitehorse, Yukon to the Bering Sea. Navigating nearly 1,800 miles of one of the world’s greatest, big wild rivers without burning a single tank of gas, the story that unfolds could never have been scripted – an Indian Chief’s funeral, an unsuccessful attempt at mutiny, a helicopter rescue for an injured teammate, and the discovery of a dead body in the middle of the Alaskan night.

Narrated by Les Stroud and Edited by Max Attwood, it’s taken more than five years since Rogers started planning the expedition to see 100 DAYS to completion. Rogers says, “It feels good to finally see the project complete. It’s been a long road, but one that I am glad I went down. I am excited to see how the doc is received.”

Brett has led expeditions on the Mackenzie, Yukon and Mississippi Rivers. The Mississippi expedition is Attwood and Rogers’ next release, entitled Old Man River, which is currently in post-production.

  3. It’s been said that if you follow your heart, if you have faith, if you are determined, then what you need will find you. I am not surprised that Les and Brett are working together to bring this extremely important documentary to television. What I do find frustrating though is the fact that so many times in life extremely valuable information just does not get the mass media attention that it deserves. Unfortunately I and many others will not have access to the OLN when this airs. I wonder how many years (if ever) it will be before this film is available to a larger audience… I can only wish you well and have faith that in the larger scheme of things everything is happening as it should. Wishing you many blessings, guidance, protection, success…

My wife and I are floating down the Yukon River this summer. We have been planning this trip for years! It’s hard to believe we are finally doing it. We received a grant from Eli Lilly to fund the rest of what we needed for the trip and make our dream a reality. If you have suggestions for us, check it out at http://www.yukonrivertrip.com!

Hi…If your in contact with Brett could you ask him to contact Vic at CBC Radio in Whitehorse Yukon about the documentary and the upcoming airing on Outdoor Life Net.

I met the crew when they were building the raft in the whitehorse area and early one morning came upon the raft below whitehorse with nobody in view..lots of evidence of a getaway party so I left some goodies on the deck and carried on. Hope they found them before the ravens did. Heard later about some of their adventures including discovering the body under their raft on the Alaskan side. Always a pleasure to meet those that choose to do the Yukon by raft…

CBC yukon news…… main contact # is 867-668-8470. Leave a contact numer if possible as Vic would love to get some tape for story. They’ll likely farm story to national CBC as is common pratice with stories of wide interest to national audience. thanks..

  6. Brett says:

Hey Peter Carr… that was you who left the donuts! Thanks for that, we always wondered who did that. It was a great surprise. And I did a CBC radio interview a few weeks back… http://www.cbc.ca/airplay/episodes/2011/04/05/documentary-tells-tale-of-yukon-river-trip/

Hey Jake… sounds like a good trip you have planned. I just checked out your website. The river from Whitehorse to Dawson is fast once the spring melt happens. We made it to Dawson in 10 days. Safe travels!

Any chance any of your documentaries will be televised in the US? Would love to see them.
