Les, I have put Outpost magazine on my list of things to buy the next time I am out to pick up supplies. I am excited to read all about the adventures that you and Mr. Solomon had on the Missinaibi River, and I’m looking forward to seeing all the wonderful photographs Laura has taken of the adventure. I was trying to find the origins of the name, Missinaibi. I haven’t found it yet, but I did find this wonderful little website that I think you might enjoy. The author loves canoeing, was born in Hamilton Ontario, and has visited many rivers in Ontario. There was a quote on his site by Henry David Thoreau (he was one of my favourite authors growing up), which I thought you might like. This is the quote, “Everyone must believe in something.
