Greetings from Arkansas. Wish I could make it to one of your tour stops. Come to Arkansas some day and float the Buffalo river, or hike the Ozarks. Would love to meet you. My wife and I really enjoyed the Survivorman series and hope you are planning on a new series in the near future.
We are watching the Canada plane wreck episode. If you want to be warm, come to Austin Texas. We have 2 REI’s and the weather was in triple digits today!
Would you ever consider an apprearance in the Washington, DC/Virginia/Maryland area? I’m sure there are Columbia Outlet stores out in this area. Also, the Shenandoah Mountains are beautiful, and offer some great hiking/camping/rafting.
Hands down I am your biggest fan in MN! Looking forward to seeing you at the MOA on Saturday and hoping to get a chance to meet you. Will you play a tune for us while you’re here?

It was great to meet you yesterday, Les, and thanks for playing a tune for us on the harp. Let me know if you ever want to take that Boundary Waters wilderness trip – I know several other seasoned BWCA paddlers who would love to join us. I would certainly enjoy sitting around the campfire at night swapping stories. Although I may not have as many to tell from as many varied locations as yours, I do have a few to share.
I also never got a chance to thank you for all you do to promote conservation and the preservation of wild areas, as well as your efforts to bring attention to the issues of pollution and human impact on our ecology. I got one of the “one bottle” straps and I certainly intend to use it with my stainless steel bottle.
Come back to Minnesota soon…
hmmmm…. Ken any way to get myself invited!? Les if you ever would want to do something like that i would be more then honored to be included. I love backpacking and camping. the boundary waters have been on my list for years just never been able to get a chance to get there. By the way les i am sure you know but the apostle islands are beautiful to paddle and camp at (may be modest, but that was my favorite paddling trip).
Oh, and though you may already be aware of this, if not you should check out “Tales of a Shaman’s Apprentice” by Mark Plotkin. It is very much related to some of the travels you have already partaken and your upcoming project.

hi Les i am a huge fan and have always enjoyed your survivor-man show both me and my husband were inspired by you to live our lives hunting for our food and cooking over a nice fire similar to the way you do in your show. maybe you could come to NH the weather is always changing to keep you on your toes i would love to meet you.
